Configuration to save transcripts automatically to a given location

I like how you have the option to save a transcript of the conversation when closing the shell. I'd like to propose:

1. An option to save this automatically without prompting
2. A second option to configure a directory to save to (with some sensible default)
3. A way to name the transcript automatically, if possible (e.g. how Claude Code sets the terminal title based on the work done), or otherwise using a template or sensible default.

Would like to contribute this if it seems useful.

Hi there. At the moment, there are a couple of related things you can use.

  "Default file name to save transcripts to.

As a function, so it can also logic to generate a name.

For example:

It's not super evident as they are part of =shell-maker= (=agent-shell='s dependency). I suppose what's currently missing is 1.

I would also like 1.

A nice way to do this would be to have a .agents folder in the working directory, and put the transcripts in .agent/transcripts/{timestamp}.txt . Alternatively, to have them in ~/.agents/projects/project_path/{timestamp}.txt , similar to Claude. (Except, unlike Claude code, not mixing chat history, config and credentials all in ~/.claude)

Ideally also would have the transcripts happen live as the conversation happens, so that users could limit the size of the comint buffers without losing chat history.
