Rename build.py?

I would like to be able to use build to build wxPython wheels. I believe that we might have to rename build.py in order to make that work. @echoix do you agree?

Absolutely, the fact that we have a executable file named build.py at the root of the repo, AND that the existing build system needs to have access to the root of the repo on the pythonpath causes a conflict with that tool.

The workaround would be to use another tool, use the other name for the build tool (the globally installed one, not our build.py), OR change the name (or path) of our build.py script. That last idea is what this discussion is suggesting.

When I was mentioning other tools, I was referring to the fact I had some good success with uv, I don’t remember the exact command though.
I didn’t do a build of wxPython myself since almost a year now.
