readme still mentions old testing code

the readme section "Tests 🔦" refers to the tests folder which was removed in commit 3498470 on Sep 23, 2022 and replaced with a single file which was removed in commit 405d258 on Nov 29, 2023

Might it be a good idea to do a full review of the readme as there may be other errors?
