Drag and Drop does not function on OpenMandriva Rome

Drag and Drop to add mods doesn't work
System: OpenMandriva Rome (Linux, rolling release)
Affected versions: TriOS 1.2.3, 1.3.0 preview 20

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Thunar (or Nautilus)
2. Navigate to downloaded mod ZIP
3. Drag ZIP file over to TriOS window

Expected result:
The "Add to Starsector" overlay appears, and upon releasing left-click, the mod gets added

Actual result:
Nothing appears to happen. No overlay, the mod is not added.

Notes and attempted troubleshooting steps:
I have removed GNOME entirely from my system, using XFCE only. I replaced GDM with... slim, I think, might've been LXDM. Removed XWayland, too, so I'm using xlibre only.
Suspecting you may have tested solely with GNOME-based hooks, I installed Nautilus to try to drag and drop from there. No change.
I tried to find any system requirements to see if I was missing a library or something. Nada.
Looked into the TriOS libraries directory to see if there were any libraries there that might hook into a DE-specific API or something, nothing jumped out at me.

Installed GNOME and Nautilus. Rebooted, logged into GNOME, tried to use Nautilus to drag and drop. No luck.

My first guess was that whatever library you use for drag-n-drop on Linux looks at GNOME and/or KDE, neither of which I have installed on my system. See above for how that panned out.

My second guess is that it looks for libraries by filename, which tends to break distro compatibility. Fedora-based systems (which OpenMandriva is NOT) and Debian-based systems (like Ubuntu) use different package name and filename conventions and occasionally file location conventions. Something as simple as looking for "libffmpeg.so" when your distro exclusively versions their ffmpeg libs ("libffmpeg24.so," for version 2.4) can make converting an Ubuntu DEB to a Fedora RPM impossible.

OpenMandriva throws me for a loop whenever I look for a package because its package naming convention is closer to Debian than Fedora, and I've been a Red Hat guy until now.
