• HPG:
  • Switching to persistent workers would speed things up considerably, but requires clustermq. I'm not yet having success installing dependencies (ZeroMQ + rzmq) on the hipergator; I think the next step is to talk to HPG support folks.

• The curse of softmax:
  • Softmax is doing a really good job of describing dynamics, but does so in a way that makes changepoints superfluous. We could try constraining (?) softmax, or reverting to a less flexible model? I don't know how to actually do these things.
