How to configure timeout? It's 60 seconds but where is it?

Hi,

Yes, i'm aware of ping/pong to keep a connection alive. That is not the request i have here.
If i make a connection where both the server and the client use this library then a connection is closed in exactly 60 seconds. I haven't set anything.

The settings i can provide also don't suggest anything of a timeout, which begs the question: where is this being set?

Well, turns out it isn't this library at all!
I'm running this behind nginx and, what a surprise, it is the one forcing the 60 seconds.

In my case i had to add:

    proxy_connect_timeout 1d;
    proxy_send_timeout 1d;
    proxy_read_timeout 1d;

to have connections timeout after a day.
Yes, you need all 3 of these setitngs! I thought just having proxy_connect_timeout would be enough but trial/error turned out that you really need all 3.

This issue can be closed. However, as nginx is likely used a lot with this library, it might be worth to mention this in the ping/pong section on the main page!

Sending the heartbeats (ping/pong) usually also prevents proxies from closing the connection due to inactivity/timeout.
