This short-term workaround restores the WebDriver testharness executor behavior prior to web-platform-tests/wpt@bef892c489 to fix broken tests. web-platform-tests/rfcs#231 is open to codify the desired behavior.

I'm leaving a longer comment on the issue in the RFC repo, but: I'm generally fine with this, though I think per-spec this doesn't do anything for system focus — there's no requirement that the click endpoint moves focus. |
