File transfer fails in mixed network scenarios (Wi-Fi ↔ mobile data, sometime on same Wi-Fi)

Environment:

• App version: 0.3.6

• Platform: Android + Desktop

• Devices:

  • Pixel 4 (Wi-Fi)
  • Pixel 7 (mobile data / Wi-Fi)
  • Laptop (same Wi-Fi as Pixel 7 in scenario 2)

Description:
File transfer does not work reliably across different network configurations. In multiple real-world scenarios, devices are unable to send files to each other even though connectivity appears normal.

Scenario 1: Wi-Fi → Mobile Data

• Sender: Pixel 4 (connected to Wi-Fi)
• Receiver: Pixel 7 (using mobile data)

Scenario 2: Laptop → Android (same Wi-Fi)

• Sender: Laptop (same Wi-Fi)
• Receiver: Pixel 7 (Wi-Fi)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Connect both devices to same Wi-Fi network
2. Attempt to send file from laptop → Pixel 7
3. Transfer fails

Is it possible if you can test them on the same network and see if it works. If that's the case, I'll try to investigate

I can only add that If I use Netguard and have this Option enabled, I often get problems and fails, sometimes it works (Android <--> Windows):

Filter traffic : lets you Filter IP packets going out of the VPN tunnel.

btw: a local network mdns discovery without external server would be nice, like I experimented here: https://github.com/cocoon/iroh-gossip-discovery/tree/iroh_0.98
