- Replace user-facing panics (less not found, lock file release failure) with proper error messages.
- Install test dependencies (bats, less, ripgrep) in the Dockerfile and add a make container-test target to run all tests in a container.
- Add AGENTS.md with build/test instructions and project conventions for AI agents.
- Improve README: add an Options section documenting CLI flags and grep tool priority, fix heading structure, remove outdated Cirrus CI badge, fix typos and grammar.

Pressing Ctrl+D (EOF) or Ctrl+C in the interactive shell previously printed "error parsing user input" to stderr and exited with code 1. Both are normal ways to exit a shell, so handle them like the quit command: exit with code 0. Add an Options section documenting CLI flags, NO_COLOR support and grep tool priority. Restructure headings so command examples are a subsection and fzf integration is its own top-level section.
