Summary of Changes

Hello @quanliu1991, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses an AttributeError encountered when using the PlaceholderBlockSpaceManager by adding a missing method to the BlockSpaceManager interface and providing a basic implementation in the placeholder class. This ensures that code expecting this method can call it without error, even on the placeholder object.

Highlights

  • Interface Update: Added a new abstract method remove_seq_from_computed_blocks_tracker to the BlockSpaceManager interface.
  • Placeholder Implementation: Provided a placeholder (no-op) implementation for the new remove_seq_from_computed_blocks_tracker method in the PlaceholderBlockSpaceManager.

Code Review

This pull request correctly adds the remove_seq_from_computed_blocks_tracker method to the BlockSpaceManager interface and its placeholder implementation, resolving an AttributeError. The changes are straightforward and effective. I've suggested adding docstrings to the new methods to improve code clarity and maintainability for future developers.

👋 Hi! Thank you for contributing to the vLLM project.

💬 Join our developer Slack at https://slack.vllm.ai to discuss your PR in #pr-reviews, coordinate on features in #feat- channels, or join special interest groups in #sig- channels.

Just a reminder: PRs would not trigger full CI run by default. Instead, it would only run fastcheck CI which starts running only a small and essential subset of CI tests to quickly catch errors. You can run other CI tests on top of those by going to your fastcheck build on Buildkite UI (linked in the PR checks section) and unblock them. If you do not have permission to unblock, ping simon-mo or khluu to add you in our Buildkite org.

Once the PR is approved and ready to go, your PR reviewer(s) can run CI to test the changes comprehensively before merging.

To run CI, PR reviewers can either: Add ready label to the PR or enable auto-merge.

Please ensure openai api correctness tests pass before merging this PR. That test is not enabled automatically.
