DateInput problem with keyboard

1.10.1 (Latest) on WebAssembly project.

Have a DateInput and enter date, for example "today":

Now try to manually edit with keyboard only the month... [BUG]: day and year fileds are reset on value changed event:

@LucaCris Instead of typing 08, type 8. When you type 0, it will think it is an invalid format, so update the dd and yyyy values. I'll check what I can do about this.

I can't tell to all my customers to do something non-standard. If I have two digit template "08" is the only right input sequence.

Replicated also in demo site... definitely a bug. 🙂

@gvreddy04 the issue is fixed when you wrap the SetValueAsync call in an if statement.

if (e.Value is string test && test != string.Empty)

BTW. could you help me understand what the purpose is of this component? Blazor already allows you to todo all this with the native InputDate component. Where is the main benefit of using this component instead?

Thank you for looking into this issue. I would be grateful if you could create a PR for this.

Regarding the component, we are making it consistent with other components. We have similar parameters to what you can expect for <input type="date" />. Here are a few of the parameters you can expect:

• AutoComplete
• Disabled
• Max
• Min

By default, Bootstrap CSS classes are added.
