Feature Request : compatibility with numpy 2

Hi,

As time goes on it's getting harder and harder to develop with repeng as it's not supporting numpy 2. This is causing some trouble for me on my research fork.

Are there plans to upgrade? It might be quite easy actually.

Is the commit you added the only thing needed for numpy 2 compat? I can roll this into a 0.4.1 update.

actually it looks like we're just using float_ in type annotations, which should probably be changed to use numpy.number anyways

Well to me it works using numpy 2.0.1
