I found the PWA example is not maintained for a very long time, and even more, the next-pwa package is not maintained for more than 8 months ago and not yet supporting appDir. The maintainer can't be contacted so for immediate response to my business requirement, I resurrect it and add examples of PWA with appDir in the next.js repo.
