Redirect to 404 page in getInitialProps()?

As title mentioned, how can I redirect client to 404 in getInitialProps()?

for example, I cannot fetch results from API then the page should display "Not Found".

There is no way to render the default error page in this situation, but you can do the following for now.

  if (res) {
     res.statusCode = 404
     res.end('Not found')

My current workaround which is working well for now:

Just a note: you have to pass the prop statusCode to error, not status. Updated code:

Did you have to create a custom error page?

@moroshko in his case yeah. But you can also use next/error which is the build in error page 👍
