problems in registering to Deepcell Users

I don't manage to register to deepcell user (https://users.deepcell.org/). I did the registration 4 days ago but I still didn't get any email of confirmed registration, and if I try to login with the credentials I used for the registration I get an error of mismatched email and password. Can you help me to fix the issue?

I tried logging in without the email extension (though you use it to sign up) and that fixed it. For example, instead of using username = john@university.edu just use username = john.

Hello, I also have the same issue.
I'm attending a european university and do not own a .edu email (apparently the edu ones get automatically approved according to other threads?) Are there supposed to be a wave of approvals?
