I am pursuing my major in physics. Also, I am interested in learning about the universe and answering the fundamental questions related to it. This course is one of 4 courses I intent to take for building a basic foundation in astronomy and astrophysics. I am interested in learning the details being taught in the course and required by me for higher studies. I want to pursue my career in theoretical and observational astrophysics and cosmology. After learning and gaining knowledge from this course, I will be able to get on with advanced courses as it is its prerequisite. I want to complete the course due to my need and also that I can put a good resume to get into a good higher institution. This course will boost my prospects after graduation for entering a good institution. A verified certificate will attach credibility to the certificate I receive from this course. I have been doing my studies in computer science. I think it will also be beneficial for me to get a good internship. But I’ve no job of my own to carry the expenses to pay for the certificate of this course. I live only for my education loan. I have made a plan to complete the course before the due date itself by completing all assignments on or before time. I intend to participate in the Discussion Forums, which I have found to supplement my learning immensely in the other online courses I have taken on edX. I am pursuing me under graduation in integrated masters of physics from a reputed college in India. I have a keen interest in doing the assignments and extra study from other sources to supplement the study with edx. I want to complete the course due to my liking for the course and also to showcase the study in form of certificate on my resume. This course will boost my entrance prospects for higher education after graduation from my institute. It will help me perform better in selecting my path for higher studies and give me an edge over my competitors.
