Checkbox: indeterminate visually too close to 'true'

The Checkbox is visually too close to the "true" value.

Bad: Vaadin looks as if FALSE was "disabled" and "-" would be enabled/false instead of indeterminate

Thanks for the feedback. The current appearance has been there since 2017 (before Vaadin 10) and I don't think anyone has previously reported this issue. Also this is not unique to Lumo, for example Bootstrap uses similar approach.

On the other hand, native checkbox on Mac OS does not use same background as checked - example.

I feel this is very subjective, based on everyone’s past experience and what they gotten used to. Would need to do proper user testing to determine which causes the least confusion / is perceived correctly.

Before such a test, I’m not convinced that we should do any changes.
