This should fix the issue for the specific case of unsoundness mentioned in #1729. Note that there are still uses of
Vec::set_len()
elsewhere (including another inod
), but I am not planning to remove them until I get an answer to my question in that issue, as removingVec::set_len()
in those places will require somewhat more intense refactoring (unless we decide to eat the hit of pointlessly initializing theVec
s combined with allocation).
