5.0.0. beta wont start any VMs: HV_UNSUPPORTED

Describe the issue
Starting any vm crashes immediately. qemu crashes with this error:

QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-aarch64-softmmu: -accel hvf,ipa-granule-size=0x1000: Error: ret = HV_UNSUPPORTED (0xfae9400f, at ../accel/hvf/hvf-accel-ops.c:398)

This was working fine with utm pre 5.0.0, and running a brew qemu works fine too.

Configuration

• UTM Version: 5.0.0 beta
• macOS Version: 26
• Mac Chip (Intel, M1, ...): M4

Looks like an issue with the build system. For now, disable Vulkan driver from settings (Cmd+,) and it will be fixed next release.

Hopefully next week; you can also grab an unsigned artifact from the actions and run the package_mac.sh script to generate a dmg yourself in the meantime

@osy I'm novice to this, I went to the actions tab and got lost. Where do I grab the unsigned artifact?

Edit: Disregard I learned and figured it out:

Download the Mac zip from the action tab.
unzip and uncompress twice to get the UTM.xcarchive file
Clone the repo
Go the scripts folder. Run the ./package_mac.sh unsigned <path to .xcarchive file> <path to output>
