v1.1: Save and search a local research library #2

Description

@user-github-me

People lose their selected research sources when the panel closes. Add named collections that can be reopened as a multi-document workspace.

This is part of the free, MIT-licensed v1.1.0 release. Implementation will arrive through a linked pull request; source availability does not imply a browser-store release.

Acceptance criteria

  • Explicitly save chosen pages and PDF text to IndexedDB; never crawl or upload sources automatically.
  • Name, search, reopen, delete and export/import collections with size limits and validated backups.
  • Reopened or imported sources preserve privacy checks before any optional cloud request.
  • Explain that saving keeps content on this device until deletion; add durability and import-validation tests.

Contributor starting points

src/core/workspace.ts, src/app/sidepanel/components/Workspace.tsx, src/storage. Read AGENTS.md, CONTRIBUTING.md and PRIVACY.md first. Tests should exercise privacy boundaries and observable behavior. Please discuss implementation on this issue before opening overlapping work.

Privacy boundary

No analytics, advertising, account requirement or paid-only functionality. No personal email content may leave the computer. Private keys and decrypted tracking activity remain local. Tracking events have no time expiry and are removed after successful collection and signed acknowledgement.

Implementation status

Implemented on the v1.1 feature branch in PR #11, pending review and merge. Checked items describe implementation; real authenticated mail-layout and cross-browser limits are recorded in the public test report. This issue closes through the PR merge.
