serving static files

Hello,

in order to be able to use the go-rest server more generally we need not only to execute rest commands but also be able to serve static files in a simple manner.

Do you plan to add this feature?

I think the easiest way would be to pass a string instead of a handler
function to HandleGet(). The string will then be interpreted as path of a
static file.

One another thing which is quite useful in restlets (restlet.org) is the
ability to redirect a URI one one side, and to have the "client" concept on
an other point, ie the method being called by the REST router acts itself
as a client of another server... It may be of different kinds, like a
FileClient (for serving files), DirectoryClient, StreamClient, other rest
client, RSS client, and so on...

I know it is maybe out of scope of what do you intend to to but I think
making the REST server you built as a quite complete service server (but
not a web framework) will render the life easier for developpers...
Personnally, I usually use restlets (or even Resteasy, or jersey sometimes)
in the java/scala world... It may be used in two modes : simple autonomous
server (based uppon jetty) or inside a servlet container... Of course if it
is embedded into a server container, we don"t need to serve static files
because the server makes it itself, but in stand alone mode we need, and of
course the stand alone way is more efficient, and less ressource
consuming...

The restlet concept of different client sounds good, but it is beyond the
scope of my go-rest package.
It's goal is to make a basic rest service as simple as possible without any
feature overload.

But returning files from other services could be done similar to static
files by just using an URL string as handler argument.
