Kasa, a web developer from Taiwan who juggles Ruby, TypeScript, Python, and a bit of DevOps, works on an e-learning system at a university.
In May 2025, she became a bit better known in the community as “the Taiwanese girl who got inspired at the RubyKaigi Code Party and wrote the 無限タルト TRICK.” This later led her to craft With Ruby, We Stride for RubyConf Taiwan.
In August 2025, she volunteered as the main organizer of the first-ever Code Party at RubyConf Taiwan, a collaborative space with topic tables hosted by active contributors from the global OSS community. Since then, she has also become one of the main organizers of the Ruby Taiwan Community.
Her favorite Ruby syntax is inheritance: class Kasa < Hsiao. Something about its conciseness and quiet wit soothes her inner chaos.
Cherishing every little step that brings her closer to the OSS community:
🐞 Her first submitted OSS bug issue:
rubocop/rubocop-rails #1045
Auto-correction fixes both Style/InverseMethods and Rails/NegateInclude in a line.
🚀 Her first merged OSS PR:
HabitRPG/habitica #15079
Fixed #14563 FAQ translations on the web page
👩🏻💻 Her Code Party enjoyment:
