I noticed that when I add a card through the OEM interface, the name does not sync to the httpd service. similarly, if I create a user through the CLI, there is no prompt for name my assumption is that this name field is not offered by the controller's API and therefore cannot be read by httpd or uhppoted |

Sadly not :-( ... the name is stored on the controllers but it's only accessible via the manufacturer private API. I vaguely remember it being possible to export the data from the OEM interface to a CSV file so it might be possible to extract all the cards that way and then use something like e.g. jq to generate (or update) the cards.json file - but I haven't tried it so you'd be on your own there. |
