Selector for desktop environments shows uninstalled DEs.

Linux Mint 22.2, Cinnamon 6.4.8, lightdm 1.30.0

After uninstalling a desktop environment the DE selector of the login screen still shows an option to that (unavailable) DE. Apparently this is caused by the fact that the related desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions/ is not deleted when uninstalling the DE. So either

• this has to be fixed in apt or somewhere else, or
• lightdm performs the sanitation of the mentioned desktop files itself by checking the validity of the exec paths in the desktop files.

I am not sure if this can be solved here, but this was the first place that came to my mind. Please redirect me otherwise.
