LightDM using up all my memory when I have computer on for days/about a week

I have 16GB of RAM and use Debian 13 with XFCE4, memory usage goes up to 4-8GB over multiple days.

When I do power off I usually save the session before shutting down.

I have lightdm version 1.32.0. Will take me another week to make a screenshot of the usage, but be patient with me and I'll produce one if necessary (I've switched over to GDM for now, but will switch back if one is wanted).

Unlike the other issue on here #84, it was not Xorg using up all the memory, it was lightdm under the task manager.

Sorry, actually this issue seem to be a mistake, what happens is the group RSS for lightdm increases steadily, but it's not because of lightDM seemingly, but because of memory leaks or hogs in MSVSC which I hadn't closed (I know Firefox has these leaks, so I closed that, but never thought that MSVSC had memory leaks as well).

The truth is I don't know how group RSS actually works, so I just assumed.

Glad it's not lightdm though, so I can keep using it, love the session feature.

I'll keep the issue open in case I change my mind in the coming week on this issue, but feel free to close it if you prefer me opening a new one later off the small chance that I discover it actually is lightdm after all.
