Hi, @yhxu03993, thanks for the question. I've been thinking about it for a while. However, I haven't got enough time yet to add neat and well-maintained implementation. If no one makes such a PR, I will open it later.
I saw EconML have their own version of the tree. Maybe you can use it for now.

Hi! Triaging older issues — flagging this as a candidate for closure (or relabeling as long-running tracking) since the original author noted the work as future-only and nobody has picked it up since.

Adding Honest Trees (Athey & Imbens) to CausalTreeRegressor (causalml/inference/tree/causal/causaltree.py) is well-defined but a non-trivial change to the splitting / leaf-estimation loop. @alexander-pv mentioned in the thread that they'd like to do it eventually, but no concrete timeline emerged.

If anyone wants to volunteer, a small design proposal (API sketch — likely a honest=True/False flag on CausalTreeRegressor plus an internal data-split for the honest sub-sample) would be a cleaner starting point than this question-thread. Otherwise this could be archived.
