tree-sitter grammar

Hi, Is there a tree-sitter grammar for nickel? I was going to try my hand at adding nickel support to helix, but I'm not finding a grammar for nickel yet.

No, not to my knowledge.

Funnily enough, I started playing with writing a tree-sitter grammar by copying from the lalrpop grammar, which is probably overkill as it's designed to build a very "rich" AST but I suppose I can refactor later on

I think maintaining a first-party tree-sitter grammar could be a decent idea, not only for editors but also the website (related tweag/nickel-lang.org#49)

Indeed, there is no tree-sitter grammar and it could be useful. It's a bit of a shame that we have to maintain already 3 versions of the same grammar beside the reference implementation: one for the ace.js editor used on the website for the playground, one for PrismJS on the website for code blocks, and one for the vim plugin. And I forgot the one for VSCode.

I guess a tree-sitter grammar could at least gives us several code editor at once. I just looked very quickly but I am not so sure that tree-sitter would afford us the ace editor and the PrismJS grammar, unfortunately.
