This project was used to provide BootCamp students the exposure to concepts/tools/languages that would form the foundation of this course with work on Git, CSS, HTML & JavaScript all contributing to the final result of this project.
Some key items that were covered.
- Software Installation/Configuration and system setup
- Installation of GitBash,, Chrome Developer, VSCode
- Creation of Github User account and associated repo for Prework
- SSL configuration for secure connection to repo to allow push and pulling of changes
- Github workflow
- HTML language concepts and file structure/syntax
- CSS concepts and linking with HTML file and recommended/optimal structure when changing colour scheme/attributes
- JavaScript concepts such as varibles, functions, conditions add weaving those in to a JavaScript file to provide the website some functonality
