Feature request: Support for terminal based editors as external-editors #1716

Description

@ConorMurphy21

In version 14.0.0 support for external-editors that open the source files to specific lines in external editors was added. This functionality is great! But it doesn't work well for terminal editors like vim or emacs. It would be nice if those editors could be supported natively.

I did try a hack to get this functionality kind of working, but I think the opener commands are probably not being run with a bash environment or something like that?

"TmuxEditor": {
    "test": "command [[ -z $TMUX && -z $EDITOR ]]",
    "command": "tmux new-window '$EDITOR +${LINE} $FILE_PATH'"
}

Note: this doesn't work even test does something trivial, and vi is used instead of $EDITOR.

As a side note: the error text only says reason: "opener failed with status 1 --", for this case, it would be nice to also get the name of the editor in this message
