Summary

  • replace the background HTML page with a Manifest V3 module service worker in the manifest
  • update the background script to resolve the glyph window URL through the runtime API and modernize the API wrapper for chrome.action
  • regenerate the packaged artifacts so the built extensions carry the new manifest and scripts
  • restore the packaged extension binaries to their previous versions so no binary diffs are included
