Feature Description
If swipe typing is disabled, then long swipes aren't needed. In that case a long swipe is treated as a tap. It would be more intuitive to treat it as a short swipe.
Problem This Solves
It's not currently feasible to use a MessageEase style layout because short swiping requires too much precision.
Proposed Solution
No UI necessary, but could be a settings toggle.
Alternative Solutions
Another solution would be to significantly raise the short swipe maximum or turn it off completely. 250px is far too low.
