Boundary Element MATLAB code. Modelling faults and deformation
A full reconstruction of the paper: A new model for control systems with friction (Canudas de Wit et al., 1995, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control)
Scripts to analytically solve the dynamic equation of motion of the 1D spring-slider system with poly-linear friction and model earthquake cycle.
Simulated a 3D cube rolling on the ground to experiment with rigid body motion and the effects of ground friction, stiffness, and damping on a cube's trajectory. PDF of research paper included. From my Special Topics in Mathematical Modeling and Simulation class with Charles Peskin at NYU.
Scripts to numerically solve the dynamic equation of motion of the 1D spring-slider system with different failure laws and model earthquake cycle.

MagneticFriction uses the Verlet algorithm with an additional dissipation term to calculate the friction between two periodic magnetic layers that move relative to each other. Here, one layer (the slider) possesses magnetic moments that rotate around an axis perpendicular to the relative movement direction. MagneticFriction is utilized in [1].
