This repo contains code written to extract and analyse Facebook data for the paper 'The Heritage of Brexit: Roles of the past in the construction of political identities through social media'

Time series analysis of the EUR/GBP exchange rate in the Brexit period, using ARIMA/SARIMA forecasting and VAR-based macroeconomic dynamics.

Analysis of the followers of 21 of the most prominent British politicians and their followers. Calculating the preferences score towards opinion on the Brexit situation: Deal, No-Deal, Remain. On top of that, sentiment analysis of the most common keywords ind the users political tweets and their sentiment.
