Wizard data not saved after account is created

Entered data into Wizard until prompted to Sign up for an account.

Created new account.

(Had trouble getting to Topcoder.com - error)

After logging in later, navigated to My Work from homepage.

Dashboard showed an empty project in Draft stage. All data that had been entered was lost.

CORRECT OUTCOME SHOULD BE:

After creating New Account and login, I should be brought to the point in the Wizard where I left off.

The data I had entered before signup should be saved.

Verified in Dev, the entered data is preserved and the user is directed to the relevant step after signing up.
