Search challenges not working for partial text matches

When you search for a word, the search does not return partial text matches.
example:
Searching for "Cus" does not return challenges with text Custom or Customer.

This search is using below query:

https://api.topcoder-dev.com/v5/challenges/?name=Cus&status=Active&isLightweight=true&perPage=1&tracks[]=Dev&tracks[]=Des&tracks[]=DS&tracks[]=QA

It looks the backend will do the exact match search, please advise how we implement partial match search operation like above.

@luizrrodrigues can you clarify if this is open for pick up or not? According to the @LieutenantRoger and @rootelement 's comments this is an API issue and once it's resolved there'll be no issue at frontend as well.
