Components get deleted in Template editor when adding new componets

I had 2 8 segment LEDs.
Deleted top one
Insert a digital out component (A0) before the remaining 8 segment LED
Insert digital out component (A1) after A0
2nd 8 segment LED disappeared and got replaced by an empty component.
