This leads to seemingly inconsistent behavior when combined with letter spacing, for example:

This could be made more consistent if all strokes are drawn before any fills, at the cost of preventing the stroke of one line of text from covering the fill of an earlier line of text. (This also seems more consistent with how shadows already work.)
