Not a full solution just yet. By now the total view gets a reducing visual sample attached. That baby reduces its total size to 8192 visual pairs, allowing for a much much quicker resizing when needed.
However, this still is ugly and slow -- we need to make the precalculations run in iterations instead of a straight loop. We need to be able to fetch results before it is fully done reducing. Until that is done, the total result is worse than it was before from a user experience.
