The stdio adapter returns JSON-RPC parse or invalid-request errors for malformed frames and continues reading subsequent requests. An explicit null request ID receives a response, while requests without an ID retain notification behavior. Error codes and envelope rules follow https://www.jsonrpc.org/specification.
Validation: added regressions fail on upstream and pass with this change. The complete isolated suite and Ruff pass. Mypy retains the pre-existing OpenRouter assignment error at openrouter.py:327.
Python3.13 macOS with temporary fixtures; no live provider or host calls; no models installed.
