- I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
App
Thunderbird for Android
App version
14.0
Where did you get the app from?
Google Play
Android version
Samsung One UI Core 4.1 (Android 12 customization)
Device model
Samsung Galaxy A01 (SM-A015M)
Steps to reproduce
- Register on Thunderbird an email account for a service that uses Roundcube, such as Porkbun (a registrar and hosting company in Oregon).
- Write a new message or forward a message or reply to a message, and then click Send.
- See that message did get sent but was not saved in the Sent folder (or the Outbox, for that matter).
Expected behavior
The user expects a sent email to be saved in the Sent folder so that it is saved and also viewable on desktop Thuderbird, Android Thunderbird, and thevwebmail interface.
Actual behavior
Message that was sent does not get saved to the Sent folder, and hence is not viewable in any form after the sending event.
This issue does not manifest on Thunderbird for desktop or on the webmail interface for Roundcube. Account uses a normal password for IMAP and for SMTP, and each connects with TLS, not OAuth or STARTTLS.
Roundcube 1.16.11 (released 2025)
