The plugin stops playing audio after about 15 seconds when it is running in the background. Seems like other users are also reporting this in the extension's review page.

Environment:
Windows 10 Pro, Version 20H2, Build 19042.631
Google Chrome Version 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Ah! I'm sorry for that.

I suspect Chrome is changing their extensions policy (maybe in June?), by removing "background" extensions capability. Unfortunately I don't know yet how to consume the audio feed with a web workers… I'm off for vacations so I won't be able to fix it for now.

Firefox does not trigger this issue though.

Yeah, same thing here :-(

The extension runs as a "background extension", so it's not even a background "Service Worker" (new format of extensions).

I have no idea how to stream audio from within a ServiceWorker: Chrome states it is impossible for now.

Maybe by opening a pinned tab as a workaround?…

Hi Thomas!
No news about the bug?
I really miss having the FIP button. I'm currently using the pinned FIP webpage but it's not as functional.

ciao
