Surround scsi_execute() calls with scsi_autopm_get_device() and
scsi_autopm_put_device(). Note: removing sr_mutex protection from the
scsi_cd_get() and scsi_cd_put() calls is safe because the purpose of
sr_mutex is to serialize cdrom_*() calls.
This patch avoids that complaints similar to the following appear in the
kernel log if runtime power management is enabled:

The shift of 'cwnd' with '(now - hc->tx_lsndtime) / hc->tx_rto' value can lead to undefined behavior [1]. In order to fix this use a gradual shift of the window with a 'while' loop, similar to what tcp_cwnd_restart() is doing. When comparing delta and RTO there is a minor difference between TCP and DCCP, the last one also invokes dccp_cwnd_restart() and reduces 'cwnd' if delta equals RTO. If zram supports writeback feature, it's no longer a BD_CAP_SYNCHRONOUS_IO device beause zram does asynchronous IO operations for incompressible pages. Do not pretend to be synchronous IO device. It makes the system very sluggish due to waiting for IO completion from upper layers. Furthermore, it causes a user-after-free problem because swap thinks the opearion is done when the IO functions returns so it can free the page (e.g., lock_page_or_retry and goto out_release in do_swap_page) but in fact, IO is asynchronous so the driver could access a just freed page afterward. This patch fixes the problem. Solution is to use same crypto tfm than when generating OOB material on generate_oob() function. This bug was introduced in commit c0153b0 ("Bluetooth: let the crypto subsystem generate the ecc privkey"). Bug was found by fuzzing kernel SMP implementation using Synopsys Defensics. This reverts commit 12eeeb4. The patch doesn't fix accessing memory with null pointer in skl_interrupt(). There are two problems: 1) skl_init_chip() is called twice, before and after dma buffer is allocate. The first call sets bus->chip_init which prevents the second from initializing bus->corb.buf and rirb.buf from bus->rb.area. 2) snd_hdac_bus_init_chip() enables interrupt before snd_hdac_bus_init_cmd_io() initializing dma buffers. There is a small window which skl_interrupt() can be called if irq has been acquired. If so, it crashes when using null dma buffer pointers. Will fix the problems in the following patches. When netvsc device is removed it can call reschedule in RCU context. This happens because canceling the subchannel setup work could (in theory) cause a reschedule when manipulating the timer. The memory type of the resulting xdp_frame depends on the memory type of the xdp_buff. For page pool based xdp_buff it produces xdp_frame with memory type MEM_TYPE_PAGE_POOL. For zero copy XSK pool based xdp_buff it produces xdp_frame with memory type MEM_TYPE_PAGE_ORDER0. However, stmmac_xdp_xmit_back() does not check the memory type and always uses the page pool type, this leads to invalid mappings and causes the crash. Therefore, check the xdp_buff memory type in stmmac_xdp_xmit_back() to fix this issue. ctx->tcxt_list holds the tasks using this ring, and it's currently
protected by the normal ctx->uring_lock. However, this can cause a
circular locking issue, as reported by syzbot, where cancelations off
exec end up needing to remove an entry from this list:

Add a separate lock just for the tctx_list, tctx_lock. This can nest
under ->uring_lock, where necessary, and be used separately for list
manipulation. For the cancelation off exec side, this removes the
need to grab ->uring_lock, hence fixing the circular locking
dependency.

While adding new devices the per-cpu workqueue tables are temporarily cleared, if a user tries to use them at that point it may fail. Add a lock to protect against those cases. skbuff_fclone_cache was created without defining a usercopy region, [1] unlike skbuff_head_cache which properly whitelists the cb[] field. [2] This causes a usercopy BUG() when CONFIG_HARDENED_USERCOPY is enabled and the kernel attempts to copy sk_buff.cb data to userspace via sock_recv_errqueue() -> put_cmsg(). The crash occurs when: 1. TCP allocates an skb using alloc_skb_fclone() (from skbuff_fclone_cache) [1] 2. The skb is cloned via skb_clone() using the pre-allocated fclone [3] 3. The cloned skb is queued to sk_error_queue for timestamp reporting 4. …te in qfq_reset `qfq_class->leaf_qdisc->q.qlen > 0` does not imply that the class itself is active. Two qfq_class objects may point to the same leaf_qdisc. This happens when: 1. one QFQ qdisc is attached to the dev as the root qdisc, and 2. another QFQ qdisc is temporarily referenced (e.g., via qdisc_get() / qdisc_put()) and is pending to be destroyed, as in function tc_new_tfilter. When packets are enqueued through the root QFQ qdisc, the shared leaf_qdisc->q.qlen increases. At the same time, the second QFQ qdisc triggers qdisc_put and qdisc_destroy: the qdisc enters qfq_reset() with its own q->q.qlen == 0, but its class's leaf qdisc->q.qlen > 0. Protect the reset path from callbacks by setting the netdevs to detached state and close any netdevs in UP state until the reset handling has completed. During a reset, the driver will de-allocate resources for the vport, and there is no guarantee that those will recover, which is why the existing vport_ctrl_lock does not provide sufficient protection. idpf_detach_and_close() is called right before reset handling. If the reset handling succeeds, the netdevs state is recovered via call to idpf_attach_and_open(). If the reset handling fails the netdevs remain down. The detach/down calls are protected with RTNL lock to avoid racing with callbacks. On the recovery side the attach can be done without holding the RTNL lock as there are no callbacks expected at that point, due to detach/close always being done first in that flow. The previous logic restoring the netdevs state based on the IDPF_VPORT_UP_REQUESTED flag in the init task is not needed anymore, hence the removal of idpf_set_vport_state(). The IDPF_VPORT_UP_REQUESTED is still being used to restore the state of the netdevs following the reset, but has no use outside of the reset handling flow. idpf_init_hard_reset() is converted to void, since it was used as such and there is no error handling being done based on its return value. The RSS LUT is not initialized until the interface comes up, causing the following NULL pointer crash when ethtool operations like rxhash on/off are performed before the interface is brought up for the first time. Move RSS LUT initialization from ndo_open to vport creation to ensure LUT is always available. This enables RSS configuration via ethtool before bringing the interface up. Simplify LUT management by maintaining all changes in the driver's soft copy and programming zeros to the indirection table when rxhash is disabled. Defer HW programming until the interface comes up if it is down during rxhash and LUT configuration changes. During soft reset, the RSS LUT is freed and not restored unless the interface is up. If an ethtool command that accesses the rss lut is attempted immediately after reset, it will result in NULL ptr dereference. Also, there is no need to reset the rss lut if the soft reset does not involve queue count change. After soft reset, set the RSS LUT to default values based on the updated queue count only if the reset was a result of a queue count change and the LUT was not configured by the user. In all other cases, don't touch the LUT. If two drivers were calling gpiochip_add_data_with_key(), one may be traversing the srcu-protected list in gpio_name_to_desc(), meanwhile other has just added its gdev in gpiodev_add_to_list_unlocked(). The GPIO controller is configured as non-sleeping but it uses generic
pinctrl helpers which use a mutex for synchronization.

When forward-porting Rust Binder to 6.18, I neglected to take commit fb56fdf ("mm/list_lru: split the lock to per-cgroup scope") into account, and apparently I did not end up running the shrinker callback when I sanity tested the driver before submission. Analog to commit db5b4e3 ("ip6_gre: make ip6gre_header() robust") Over the years, syzbot found many ways to crash the kernel in ipgre_header() [1]. This involves team or bonding drivers ability to dynamically change their dev->needed_headroom and/or dev->hard_header_len In this particular crash mld_newpack() allocated an skb with a too small reserve/headroom, and by the time mld_sendpack() was called, syzbot managed to attach an ipgre device. The Secondary Sample Point Source field has been
set to an incorrect value by some mistake in the
past
0b01 - SSP_SRC_NO_SSP - SSP is not used.
for data bitrates above 1 MBit/s. The correct/default
value already used for lower bitrates is
0b00 - SSP_SRC_MEAS_N_OFFSET - SSP position = TRV_DELAY
(Measured Transmitter delay) + SSP_OFFSET.
The related configuration register structure is described
in section 3.1.46 SSP_CFG of the CTU CAN FD
IP CORE Datasheet.
The analysis leading to the proper configuration
is described in section 2.8.3 Secondary sampling point
of the datasheet.
The change has been tested on AMD/Xilinx Zynq
with the next CTU CN FD IP core versions:
- 2.6 aka master in the "integration with Zynq-7000 system" test
6.12.43-rt12+ #1 SMP PREEMPT_RT kernel with CTU CAN FD git
driver (change already included in the driver repo)
- older 2.5 snapshot with mainline kernels with this patch
applied locally in the multiple CAN latency tester nightly runs

mlx5e_netdev_change_profile can fail to attach a new profile and can
fail to rollback to old profile, in such case, we could end up with a
dangling netdev with a fully reset netdev_priv. A retry to change
profile, e.g. another attempt to call mlx5e_netdev_change_profile via
switchdev mode change, will crash trying to access the now NULL
priv->mdev.
This fix allows mlx5e_netdev_change_profile() to handle previous
failures and an empty priv, by not assuming priv is valid.
Pass netdev and mdev to all flows requiring
mlx5e_netdev_change_profile() and avoid passing priv.
In mlx5e_netdev_change_profile() check if current priv is valid, and if
not, just attach the new profile without trying to access the old one.
This fixes the following oops, when enabling switchdev mode for the 2nd
time after first time failure:

mlx5e_priv is an unstable structure that can be memset(0) if profile attaching fails, mlx5e_priv in mlx5e_dev devlink private is used to reference the netdev and mdev associated with that struct. Instead, store netdev directly into mlx5e_dev and get mdev from the containing mlx5_adev aux device structure. The code is designed to work this way without disabling IRQs and occasionally fail the trylock with a fallback. However, the SMP=n spinlock implementation assumes spin_trylock() will always succeed, and thus it's normally a no-op. Here the enabled lock debugging catches the problem, but otherwise it could cause a corruption of the pcp structure. The problem has been introduced by commit 5749077 ("mm/page_alloc: leave IRQs enabled for per-cpu page allocations"). The pcp locking scheme recognizes the need for disabling IRQs to prevent nesting spin_trylock() sections on SMP=n, but the need to prevent the nesting in spin_lock() has not been recognized. Fix it by introducing local wrappers that change the spin_lock() to spin_lock_iqsave() with SMP=n and use them in all places that do spin_lock(&pcp->lock). The commit d5d399e ("printk/nbcon: Release nbcon consoles ownership in atomic flush after each emitted record") prevented stall of a CPU which lost nbcon console ownership because another CPU entered an emergency flush. But there is still the problem that the CPU doing the emergency flush might cause a stall on its own. Let's go even further and restore IRQ in the atomic flush after each emitted record. It is not a complete solution. The interrupts and/or scheduling might still be blocked when the emergency atomic flush was called with IRQs and/or scheduling disabled. In btrfs_read_locked_inode() if we fail to lookup the inode, we jump to
the 'out' label with a path that has a read locked leaf and then we call
iget_failed(). This can result in a ABBA deadlock, since iget_failed()
triggers inode eviction and that causes the release of the delayed inode,
which must lock the delayed inode's mutex, and a task updating a delayed
inode starts by taking the node's mutex and then modifying the inode's
subvolume btree.
