I took the idea from https://github.com/Compass/compass-rails/blob/stable/lib/compass-rails/railties/3_1.rb#L90. However, there is also https://github.com/Compass/compass-rails/blob/stable/lib/compass-rails/railties/3_0.rb#L42 for Rails 3.0. So please be careful before merging back.
