Can visual automation be used on Linux? - yes, need special setup for SikuliX

Yes, however, as Linux has different distributions, there is special setup needed in order for SikuliX to work (the engine that TagUI uses for visual automation and low-level keyboard mouse control)

I saw there is substantial number of users who are installing on Linux. Reopening issue to -

1. add notice in readme on this setup (OpenCV, Tesseract) on Linux to use visual automation
2. add notice to this setup link during initial installation of TagUI when t.init() / t.setup() is called

This will prevent Linux users from wasting their time trying to debug what is wrong when using visual automation and improve their user experience. Though still troublesome. I think primarily the reason is because there are many flavours of Linux, no one standard version. So it is hard for apps like SikuliX / OpenCV / Tesseract to automatically provision binaries that work on all Linux OSes.
