[BUG] Recurring tasks cannot generate a new task, and other bugs #444

@VVJZ001

Description

@VVJZ001

Thank you for your diligent updates to the plugin, but recent bugs have made it unusable for me. Here are the steps to reproduce the bug:

  1. Disable “File Metadata Inheritance”

I specifically mention this step because I've noticed that performance is better when this option is enabled, even though I don't understand why.

  1. Input:
- [ ] Task A 🔁 every day 📅 2025-09-12

  1. Marking Tasks as Completed

We use three methods (A,B, and C) to complete this step, which will result in three different responses.

(Method A). Right-click the task status and select “Completed”

It can be seen that the recurring task did not generate a new task.

(Method B). Mark as completed within the TaskGenius view

It can be seen that the recurring task has not generated any new tasks , nor has it produced a completion date.
It is worth noting that in TaskGenius view, the task's due date and recurrence cycle do not appear at the end of the row, which may indicate an issue with the recognition.

(Method C). Use the task sidebar to mark as completed

Using this method, the recurring task not only fails to generate new tasks but also loses all information.

These bugs have severely impacted my ability to use the software as intended. I would appreciate it if you could fix the aforementioned bugs if possible. Thank you.
