The AMI is based on the official MongoDB AMI from 10gen. For Tokyo Region, it's ami-a01dada1.

Customization

cirrus (https://github.com/tkuhlman/cirrus) installed using setup.py included in the package. Used for updating CNAME entry of Route 53. Requires boto installed, which is already installed in Amazon Linux / 10gen's official AMI.

Using the AMI

Issues

MMS is not installed because the binary downloaded from 10gen's MMS page includes account information.
