Select multiple outputs (for deletion)?

When browsing outputs, I recall being able to hold down the Shift key and select multiple outputs for deletion. This no longer seems to work; even though I'm clicking Shift when I click on an image, the image simply opens in a new browser tab. Maybe I'm doing something silly.
