How does Kit relate to a router? How closely are they connected? Is it possible to extract the logic into an official Svelte router? Is it possible to plugin your own router?

Kit contains Sapper's code and router. We did some router cleanup in Sapper that really separated the code from the rest of the code. The code in this repo was copied from Sapper before that happened, so a good first step would be to sync up the code from Sapper again. See #6 (you'll actually notice that Sapper has a router directory that's missing in kit)
