Your purpose in using this API:
I am developing an offline Hadith application that provides users with access to the Nine Books of Hadith. I would like to use the official Sunnah.com API to obtain Hadith data, references, grades, and related information for integration into the application. I am particularly interested in narrator and chain-of-narration data if available through the API.
The application is intended for educational and research purposes, with the Hadith data stored locally on the user's device for offline access.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 2
Maximum requests per day: 10,000
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
An offline dump would better suit my use case because the application is designed to work offline. If an offline dump is not currently available, I would like to use the programmatic API to obtain the required data during the development/build process.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Arabic and English. If available, I would also be interested in Somali translations in the future.
What programming language will your API client be in?
Python for data import/build scripts, and Dart/Flutter for the mobile application where applicable.
