Use a variable to refer to use answer in next calculation?

Like an "ANS":

4+4=8
12+(ANS/2)=16

Something of that form.

What's missing is just returning the result. That'd allow setting ANS like this:

ANS=`=`

[TomK32]

you can already do "a=2;a*4" but the variable a will be lost afterwards because the script is just calling itself.

On second thought, for doing further calculations a visible register would be nice. But that'd mean to make the menu a lot more dynamic and passing this register someway. Rewriting the script to use functions rather than calling itself for further calculations would make the register a log easier to implement
